Fodder - Guard is the Australian and New Zealand authorised distributor of TOPTEX®the world-leading breathable hay and straw cover trusted by European farmers for more than 25 years.

Our journey began far from home on a riding holiday through rural Hungary. While visiting a small family run horse farm, we noticed something unusual: perfectly preserved round bales protected by a lightweight, durable fabric unlike anything we’d seen before. That fabric was TOPTEX®.

The farm owner told us TOPTEX® had been part of his operation for years. After once switching to a cheaper alternative, he quickly paid the price, reduced hay and straw quality, mould issues, and wasted feed. He returned to TOPTEX® without hesitation, saying it saved both his hay and his peace of mind.

That experience stayed with us.

Back in Australia, we saw the same challenges facing local farmers: unpredictable weather, moisture damage, mould, feed loss, and expensive storage options that didn’t deliver. It was clear that TOPTEX® was the missing solution.

So we brought it here.
